The Lamborghini Urus has been launched in India at Rs. 3 crores (All-India ex-showroom). It combines every modern ultra-luxury cars buyer’s odd fantasy of having something that looks like it’s doing 200kmph all the time but will actually go fast over every terrain that you throw at it.
Though it doesn’t look like a usual Lamborghini, the heart of the car is a pure Lamborghini having a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 pushing out 650bhp of firepower at 6,000rpm and 850Nm of turning force accessible from as low as 2250rpm. It reaches 0-100kmph in 3.6 seconds. Having a Lamborghini which you can drive both on and off road is truly a dream come true which was made possible by the URUS. Having 8 driving modes like Anima, Ego, Strada (Street), Corsa (Track), Terra (Dirt), Sabbia (Sand), and Neve (Snow) driving modes, Lamborghini Urus is undoubtedly an all-terrain car. This fine piece of Italian beauty is a bliss for people who can afford and want a Lamborghini but scared to drive it around especially in India. And being priced at about almost a crore less than Huracan, Urus is comparatively more economical and being a Lamborghini, it is not at all compromising. The V8 employs twin-turbos, yielding an output of 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque while the Lamborghini Huracan’s V10 engine makes between 573 and 630 horsepower.
One may get shocked to know that it is not the first SUV launched by Lamborghini, but definitely it is one of the best and fastest SUVs ever launched. Having competition like Bentley Bentayga and Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography, Lamborghini Urus may not be as luxurious as them but it is definitely faster, more powerful, better looking and you can appreciate the fact that it is a fully loaded SUV with a comprehensive feature list that has sufficient space for four people to travel in ultra-luxury. And of course being a Lamborghini, it sounds angry all time and it should be fun when you need to get going at fancy speeds.
If someone is not happy if the current variants of the Urus, there is a good news that Lamborghini is going to come up with new variants of the Urus in the future. Now we can just wait and watch if the Urus takes over the market or suppressed by the current prominent high-end SUVs.
